Mediterranean Corridor, hydraulic works and regional financing: three outstanding debts with the Valencian Community. The role of civil society
Abstract
Hi ha moments en els quals un sent que el temps passa, que els governs es renoven, que els discursos se succeeixen els uns als altres, i que, en canvi, la Comunitat Valenciana continua exactament al mateix lloc: explicant els seus problemes, demanant el que li correspon i veient com les promeses es dilueixen abans que arribe el pròxim cicle electoral. Fa dècades —no anys, dècades— que tenim tres ferides obertes que els successius governs d’Espanya, de tots els partits, no han tingut la voluntat real de tancar de manera definitiva: (i) l’infrafinançament crònic, que afecta fonaments de l’estat de benestar com l’educació, la sanitat o els serveis socials; (ii) la connexió ferroviària en ample internacional pel Mediterrani i cap a Europa, i (iii) l’inici d’obres hidràuliques que, a més de pal·liar els efectes d’una nova dana com la de 2024, solucionen el dèficit hídric estructural que amenaça la nostra agricultura, el nostre turisme i, en definitiva la competitivitat del nostre model econòmic.
